Matt Dybing, CPA

Ever since he could remember, Matt Dybing wanted to be a business owner. After graduating from Drake University with an accounting degree, he rose through the corporate accounting ranks. His talent landed him jobs at places like Thomson Reuters, and RSM in Public Accounting. Despite this corporate success, Matt still longed to build his own business. The issue was that he didn’t know what to build.

He saw others starting real-estate businesses, gyms, or launching start-ups. Then it hit him. Instead of just sitting by and watching others build businesses, he could start with what he’s best at: Accounting.

Matt left the public accounting world and started Accounting Forward.

Accounting Forward has become the way for him to connect with like-minded and motivated business owners. Each day, he gets to leverage his knowledge of the tax code as a CPA and work with talented entrepreneurs to help them succeed. Matt partners with his clients so that they can be innovative, forward-looking, and strategic. At the end of the day, Matt is passionate about using his expertise to help businesses grow.

Today Matt lives in Minneapolis with his wife, Morgan. Matt is an avid pickup basketball player and golfer. He’s passionate about real estate investing and is in the process of turning a home into an Airbnb.
